Pressing on towards the goal for the prize…
Earlier this year I was in the Emmanuel Theological Seminary (ETS) in Kalaymyo, Myanmar teaching a group of third and fourth year students from a series of selective bible studies that I felt would be beneficial to them, as each one was starting their journey of learning how to follow Christ.
What came out of my time there was a fresh reminder to ‘keep reaching forward’ to that which lies ahead: A reoccurring theme throughout the Scriptures that teaches us to do just that. (See Phil 3:12-14, Isa 43:18-19)
The goal to ‘lay hold of’ by that which ‘Christ has laid hold of me’ and the good news is: none of us has arrived yet! And the ‘prize’ is to hear the words: ‘well done good and faithful servant enter into the joy of your master.’ (See Matt.25:21) God has MORE things in store!
Our Firstlight projects and ministry platforms in the second half of 2018 will take us further into the plans of what the Father has in mind. (See Jer. 29:11) Next up: Thailand, Myanmar & Egypt!
