Consider what your life would have been like had you not grown up with the benefit of having a father. I was fortunate I had a father. Therefore, I didn’t experience the pain and lifelong struggles from not having a father. However, maybe because I so love being a father (and now a grandfather) I’m deeply saddened for someone who has no Dad!

We all know the societal ills that result from the absence of a father. I’ve met many men who either grew up without a father or who had a father who was absent. The lifelong issues that can result are sometimes debilitating. I can only imagine what a son or a daughter feels like never hearing a dad say, I love you. Fortunately, a heavenly Father’s love can bring light to these dark places and bring lasting change!

I see Firstlight International’s Families Without Fathers (FWF) project as an essential and critical ministry opportunity for you and I to partner with. It is important for the families that Dan and Deb and the Firstlight Area Teams work with get the critical help they need and the Connection with a Godly father figure that can guide them through life.
