In Luke chapter eight we find an amazing story of Jesus and His disciples setting out by boat to cross over to the other side of the lake. (See Luke 8:22- 25) Part way through their journey a storm arose causing them to fear for their lives: A storm which they never saw coming. All they knew was they were to get to the other side of the lake.

None of us are ever fully ready for the unforeseen to occur. Although Jesus was asleep in the boat He wasn’t alarmed or unaware that a storm had occurred. In fact, He knew that it would storm and even expected it.

The lesson to be learned here is to stay the course across the great divide of 2022 and get to the other side. Don’t loose your faith, but use it and by all means rediscover Who Jesus is! His question to them: “Where is your faith?” shifted them to a new reality “What manner of man is this; He commands the winds and the waves and they obey Him?” He will see us through.
