A 2-Day Holy Spirit Training in Khon Kaen …
Among our Firstlight Fellowship churches in Thailand, we find ourselves in the midst of a series of training a core of local Thai church leaders in each location where these churches are being planted. We have spent a considerable amount of time during the prayer and evangelistic phases, and now the Lord is leading us into more of a ‘teaching/disciplining’ phase – insuring that we have solid base of leaders that are being raised up to help shoulder this great work in every church. That can only happen as we become more intentional in our strategy for growth.
During our most recent two-day Holy Spirit training with our Firstlight Fellowship church in Khon Kaen, Thailand, we had a great opportunity to help train seven core leaders and a good number of potential leaders who have just recently come to Christ. All of them have come to Christ over the past nine months and they are either leading cell groups or they are serving in other areas of the church. These are ALL first generation Christians that are being trained. Pastor Narong and his wife Ruawphawn are doing a great work of pastoring and we are privileged to walk beside them as they plant this church. Our worship times were deep, the word that was taught was rich and the Lord confirmed our time together with the presence of His Holy Spirit. A great foundation is being laid for extending God’s Kingdom in that part of Thailand.
