Spring Accomplishments

It occurs to me that next month, April, I have been a mother for over 24 years. 24 years ago Josiah Daniel James Ecker came into this world, for us to love him, to know him, to raise him and to grow him. And to put his tiny little hand into the hand of the One who knit him together in my womb. Dan and I love this young man SO much!! This spring we celebrate two major happenings in our family: 1. Dan was given an honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree from a seminary in Myanmar, and 2. Josiah graduates from Seattle Pacific University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Both of these men have worked SO hard for these special days, through many obstacles. And I just want to take a moment to honor BOTH of them and say, I.AM.SO.PROUD.OF.YOU. They make me proud to know them. I can see SO much of Dan in Josiah, in a dogged determination to complete tasks, accomplish goals. And to finish well. More than that, I see his father’s kindness and concern for others, which I know the Lord will use to guide Josiah into the future He has prepared for him. Thank you, LORD for the two special men. And thank you for bringing them safely to these special days in both of their lives. Our little family is blessed!
