One of the many promises that we have in Scripture is one of life and having life in abundance. (See John 10:10; Rom 6:23; Rom 8:1-5; John 6:63; John 5:24 and more!)
This, too, can be referred to as having the life of God – or you could say having the God kind of life which is eternal. Something that is given to us now by the Spirit and also in the world to come after death. (II Cor 5:1-7; John 14:1-6; John 11:25; John 17:3)
Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life. He conquered death by death [death is now swallowed up in victory – the tomb is empty, and Jesus rose from the dead] and because He lives we, too, shall live also. (See I Cor. 15:55; John 11:25; John 14:1-6; Eph 5:14)
The life that He now lives He lives in us is by the Spirit – Spirit life. (See Gal 2:20; John 6:63; Gal 5:17; Rom 8:11-16; John 3:3-8) As Paul says “if we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.” (See Gal 5:25) As carriers of the kingdom Spirit Life travels with us. Where He goes, I go!
