It has been over 30 years ago that I was blessed to find myself unemployed from a large company. That blessing wasn’t apparent at the time but, as always, the Lord had plans for my life.
My auto repair business started out of my God-given ability to work with my hands. From as young as 10, my dad had mentored me in the rebuilding of outboard motors.
Starting out in a completely new work field was difficult, and I spent many nights praying very hard. After about 20 years of the Lord preparing me at this now established business, I examined my finances. Giving cheerfully had been something that I had learned from my first pastor and has always been a joy through my entire married life. However, I had no idea what the Lord would have me to do next.
The automotive business has some waste products, as do most businesses, and one is scrap metal. By scrapping this metal, (cars, old junk, etc.,) the Lord showed me how make cash to support missions through an effort we call: Cars For The Kingdom. Since 2006 it has been my joy to donate over $100,000 to the various ministries I have been led by the Lord to support. Look around your home. Do you have scrap metals to turn into cash? Unused items to sell on the internet? I know you do. First dedicate the proceeds to the Lord for His purposes and see what happens, and I would love to read your article on the fruit of your effort!
