E5 Project Training Updates
In August, we completed a 3-day E5 Project training seminar in Udon Thani, Thailand with 45 leaders from Thailand and Laos. James and Jessica Pursifull from SURGE were our main speakers and did an excellent job training and imparting passion for the lost. Attending for the first time, were Laos pastors and leaders from two groups. Pastor David Ropkhop from northern Laos sent 10 leaders and Dr. Prafix from southern Laos sent 20 leaders. Combined, these two leaders represent more than 700 churches throughout Laos. Both men are committed to see leaders trained and equipped, churches strengthened, and churches planted in Laos and beyond.
As part of this group, we had the honor to serve some very precious saints from the Bru people group in Laos. There are approximately 52,000 Bru living in Laos. They are largely an unreached people group. Less than one percent are followers of Christ. They are so precious and eager to serve the Lord in total and complete dedication. They do so much with little or no resources. Their heart to serve Christ is exemplary to all of us. They serve Him for the honor to be named as one of His servants. These men remind me that the honor of serving Christ is all the reward we need.
October’s training resulted in a good number coming together again from Thailand and Laos also. These two E5 Trainings in 2013 have put these pastors and leaders from both countries in a much better place to reproduce new churches in their areas.
