What an exciting year we have entered! What a wonderful time for the church, the body of Jesus, to rise up and take its place! We’re not talking about growing church attendance, holding big conferences, or having the mainline speakers come and give us the Word. All these things have their place and value, but there is something deeper that God is waiting and longing for His church, His body, to take her place and lead the people into prayer, His love and discipleship. One life at a time!
As we pray we hear His leading, not our opinions, thoughts, or ways, but His. We, as the human race, can mess things up pretty bad, but as His body which is led by the head, Jesus, will function as one and go and say only where and speak only what it should. Then and only then will our lives, the people, and the nations see truth, have peace, know love, and live in a Kingdom as it is in heaven!
The Church is seeing the need of this deep commitment and love. We are falling on our knees and praying to the One Who hears. Jesus! He will give us the love and plan. It’s not a super complex thing. It all begins at the cross. So humbling Jesus, our King and Savior came to a world that was without a Father. He came and restored us to the Father. Now our sonship in found in Him, and in Him we have everything we need! Now we find our world looking for this same Father, Leader, Friend Who has never left us, but we Him. Now is the time church, to take up this call to bare His voice and be His body! GO!
