One of the joys that we have as missionaries living and working in Thailand, is to experience ‘first-hand’ the difference that is being made in each location where these Firstlight Fellowship churches are being planted. Through the Community Hope Project, a great church is coming forth in Nong Bua Lam Phu, Thailand. Those who are gathering there for worship are growing in their Christian faith.
Every Sunday morning, there is a Celebration Service being offered to those who can make it. Most Thais work six or seven days a week and it’s not easy for them to come to a church building to worship on Sundays. For others, there are midweek cell groups and or house churches in several communities as part of a strategy for church planting in the region. Either way, they are the Church and the Lord is present in their midst. Something very unique is happening there and we are so blessed to be apart of it.
Recently, Debbie and I had the wonderful opportunity of being there at the same time. We have both worked with our Firstlight Area Team there in helping them to plant this church but this time, we happened to be there together – side-by-side. Debbie was able to bring forth a great word that day and the time with our Firstlight Area Team and with the church was incredible. I like what the Lord is doing there.
